Nothing Compares to Dancing on Quads And I Know WhyEdit

Snyder turn 1

I have set-up this wiki in hopes that there are other freestyle rhythm quad skaters out there who will roll in and leave a message. I don't have any real idea of how many quad skaters have ever done, or are doing, this particular type of skating. Could it be that it only developed where I live?

If you're wondering just what kind of skating I'm talking about, I invite you to read the feature article "Magic Machines" at the quad skate wiki page. This quad skate essay, which is really what it is, combines a technical explanation of Newtonian Physics and Biomechanics with Quad rhythm skating in an attempt to convey the special nature of riding that wave. I usually get flack for saying that - especially from in-liners and curb crashers. I do recognize these types of skating. They are all legitimate but here we are concerned with the finesse side of roller skating. Freestyle Rhythm Quad Skating is not about competition or tricks. It's about feeling and syncing to a good skate tune, using the same built-in rhythms that we use for making love - two kinds of Rock and Roll powered by that same irresistible chronometer.
